These include the prestigious Newbery Medal, Caldecott Medal, and the Coretta Scott King Book Awards, and the Pura Belpré Book Awards, among others. A full listing of the award recipients is available here,
As I did for the Ezra Jack Keats Awards and the NAACP Image Awards, I'd like to commend all of the ALSC Awards committee members for their time spent considering and deliberating on what they each felt were the strongest offerings suitable for each award given at the 2018 YMA. I think we can all agree that there was no shortage of books worth celebrating in 2017. And for as many as I've myself celebrated through the podcast and on this blog, I'm even more excited for what's coming out in 2018. Congratulations again to all of the winners!
