I write a blog post for Upstart each month on one selected topic from the children's activity calendars for their Ideas+Inspiration blog.
For March I wrote about Women's History Month, but took the approach of assembling some of my favorite new and most circulated biography collections from our library. In doing so, my hope was to provide teachers with a wealth of short biographies profiling women of all ages, races, and backgrounds that can be shared with students throughout the year. This is by no means an exhaustive list, but rather a place to start, to inspire, and to encourage further reading.
